Murang'a, Kenya is located about a two-hour drive north of Nairobi. This district is made up of mostly Kikuyu people. The county seat has a population of about 12,000 people.
Murang'a town, where the pastor trainings are held, is small but picturesque with an altitude of 4120 ft (1255 meters) above sea level. Murang'a can get quite cool during the months of May to Mid-August, and can even experience hail. To the west of the town you may see the rolling Kikuyu farmlands that extend as far as the eye can see.
The gospel is spreading rapidly across the continent of Africa, and Kenya is no exception. Also, because of its proximity to Somalia and other North Africa countries, Islam is prevalent in Kenya.
We are investing in local pastors in this region. Our goal is to train these pastors to be faithful shepherds of their flocks and witnesses to the lost. Trainings in Murang'a are ongoing. See opportunities here.
